Roger Bergman
I have been director of the Justice & Peace Studies Program in the College of Arts & Sciences since 1993.  I began teaching theological ethics at Creighton University in 1989.

More about me:

I am married to Dr. Wendy Wright, Professor of Theology, holder of the Kenefick Chair in the Humanities at Creighton, and well-known scholar and author of the spiritual life. We have three adult children and belong to a Christian Life Community by the name of Ite (as in “Go [Ite]), the mass is ended.”}

I recently finished a book manuscript titled Catholic Social Learning: How to Educate the Faith That Does Justice and am on the national planning committee for the Commitment to Justice in Jesuit Higher Education.  I am a long-time member of the Omaha Archdiocesan Social Ministry Commission.

I attribute my positive outlook on life in part to pickup basketball two or three times a week with students one-third my age. My favorite activity is hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado.
Writing these reflections:

Writing, as a discipline of reflection, can be a form of prayer.
