Mary Haynes Kuhlman
Since 1975 I’ve had a staff position in the office of Creighton’s Department of Theology; I’m now the full time office manager, but from 1977 through 2007 I was half-time staff while teaching as half-time faculty in the Department of English. My husband, retired from the English department, still uses his expertise in American studies and the history of architecture. Our son and daughter are graduates of Creighton University.
More about me:
Although my accent would tell you that I'm from Boston, I've lived in Nebraska since 1967, and my Ph.D. in English is from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  Our fairly large and old home close to Creighton's campus and St. Cecilia's Cathedral reflects our enthusiasm for good architecture and historic preservation.  I long for the Atlantic Ocean and enjoy the Great Lakes and the powerful Missouri River.  I like swimming, movies, and the people in my life -- relatives, colleagues, students, old and new friends, e-mail acquaintances, Gaskell Society members, neighbors, fellow parishioners, fellow arts supporters, other Reflection writers and readers, all who pass by.

Writing these reflections:
Writing these Reflections is a great challenge and a blessing.  Thank you for reading what I have discovered.
