Janine ter Kuile
I arrived at Creighton and the department of Financial Aid in 2004. I listen to and support parents and students about their financial concerns, hoping to be a calming influence as they navigate these sometimes rough waters.

More about me:

I am a mother of two beautiful grown daughters. My first loves are piano, cooking and French. Once a month I teach family history via scrap booking. It is important that I know why I am the way I am, psychologically, physically and spiritually . I also volunteer once a week as a youth minister in a Sudanese faith community and I am working towards a Masters degree in counseling.

Writing these reflections:

Participating in the Ignation Online Retreat led to my writing these Daily Reflections. I have studied scripture, but I discover the meaning of the stories of the Bible most at work and in my everyday life. My conversations with God reflect a discussion with a close friend who doesn’t judge me, let me down or play mind games with me; someone I trust wholeheartedly. I witness this face of Christ in other people who come into my life. Sometimes I get off the track. This is when the Holy Spirit speaks to me, through people and experiences if I am open to them.
