Diane Jorgensen
Chaplain in the School of Pharmacy and Health Professions since January of 2008.
More about me:

I was born and raised in the Chicago area, and came to Creighton as an undergraduate, graduating in 1976. I was a Catholic sister for a number of years, completed a Master's Degree in Social Work, began a career as a Medical Social Worker and then completed Clinical Pastoral Education (Chaplaincy training) before "settling" into my calling as a Chaplain and Spiritual Director.

I have been a Chaplain in acute care hospital settings and long term care for over 20 years, as well as a spiritual director and retreat leader before coming to my current position at Creighton. St. John's has been my parish for many years and since I also completed a Master's Degree in Christian Spirituality here, coming to Creighton was very much "coming home" for me. I love my new ministry with students, faculty and staff in the School of Pharmacy and Health Professions.

My husband, Kim, and I have been married since 2001. While he likes to hunt and fish, I like to quilt and garden…. And we both take great delight in our two dogs, Chloe and Jake.

Writing these reflections:

I look forward to writing reflections because I am always amazed and grateful at how the Spirit comes to me when I write, and when I read the reflections of others.
