Sue Selde

College of Nursing

Academic Success Coordinator

More about me:

This is my tenth academic year working at Creighton. When I was initially hired, I worked as the Academic Success Coordinator for all the undergraduate students, for the last six years I have worked in the College of Nursing as the Academic Success Coordinator.  My job is very rewarding because I have the privilege of working with students and faculty to improve learning.

My family is my pride and joy. My husband Bill and I were married at St. John’s in 1980. We have four children, three sons and one daughter. Our oldest son is an Emergency Department physician doing a fellowship at the University of New Mexico. He has accepted a position in one of his favorite states, Wyoming.  Our next two sons both attend Creighton University Law School.  Our daughter is a St. Joseph University graduate, has worked in Ameri-Corp. She is currently is working in Washington D.C. at World Leadership School, which is an agency that is committed to global social justice.  My favorite time and place is when our entire family is together. I currently serve on the Alumni Board for Duchesne Academy, teach at a transitional homeless shelter for women and children and most recently am in formation for Ignatian Associates.

I am a former fitness instructor, who still enjoys working out.

Writing these reflections:

I am new to writing these reflections and I pray the Holy Spirit guides me with wisdom and understanding so that I write meaningful reflections.
