Gladyce Janky

Chaplain for the Graduate and Law Schools

Gladyce Janky
More about me:

My family and I have lived in Omaha for about nineteen years.  I have had a connection with Creighton since taking a theology course in 2008.  That class was an important part of shifting the direction of my personal faith journey from being someone mostly content to “sit in the pews” to someone that is restless and always seeking to learn more about my faith and the Ignatian Tradition.  Following completion of the MA in Ministry program, through the Creighton Christian Spirituality Program, I worked as a health care chaplain.  In 2015 I came to Creighton as a chaplain in the School of Pharmacy and Health Professions.  I left Creighton last summer and then returned in November as the chaplain for the Graduate and Law Schools.

Writing these reflections:

Being a reflection writer helps me be more intentional about listening to the messages in the daily readings.  I have found that exploring what I find relevant in the text deepens my faith and my appreciation of the richness of our Catholic tradition.
