Lent is a 40 day period
- from Ash Wednesday to Holy Thursday -
that is set aside to help us celebrate
the Good News of Jesus' life, death
and resurrection for us,
with mind and heart renewed.

Here are three options
for members of the Creighton Community
to make a grace-filled Lent.

They can work in combination with each other,
or one resource may be the best means this year.

Be a part of
a 20 year Creighton Tradition!

This is a "Retreat in Everyday Life." This means we can make a retreat without interfering with our work or our other responsibilities. How? Because this retreat helps us "focus" more, and reflect upon what is going on in our lives, in light of the graces offered us in Lent.

The real benefit of this retreat is that it afforts members of the Creighton community opportunities to reflect upon their experience, week-by-week, with either:

  • a one-on-one Prayer Companion, or
  • a supervised, sharing group of peers.

Outstanding support for entering into Lent deeply, with a growing relationship with Our Lord.

Fr. Larry Gillick, S.J. gave this retreat last Holy Week Retreat.

Listen to these 14, half hour talks, and let them guide our prayer during the six weeks of Lent.

Listen to these talks at the computer or download MP3 files and burn one CD for listening to with a CD player that plays MP3 files. If you have a regular CD player, the talks on 7 CD's can be borrowed from the Collaborative Ministry Office - 280-3056.

This kind of retreat would be an outstanding experience for several people to make together by listening to the talks together or individually, making the prayer, and then sharing the graces with one another.

For suggestions on dividing up the talks for the 6 weeks of Lent, visit our Audio Lent Retreat Guide:
