John Guiliano is the John Guiliano has lived in El Salvador since 1984 and has a strong relationship with Creighton University. A native of Bronx, New York, and a former Jesuit seminarian, Guiliano has worked in community development in Mexico and Central America since 1984 and started the non-profit Tamarindo Foundation. The project started as a way to foster healing in an area of El Salvador torn apart by the civil war there that lasted 12 years (1980-1992) and took the lives of 75,000 Salvadorans.
