More about me:

I am a nurse who has worked in a wide variety of capacities in the College of Nursing for many years. I started my career at St. Joseph Hospital when it was still on 10th Street, which dates me! I worked the day we moved patients from there to 30th Street, and soon they will be moving again. I have been fortunate to teach every level of nursing students and each level has its own wonderful benefits and opportunities for me to increase my knowledge. Currently I am chair for the Doctor of Nursing Practice Program (DNP).

I have four children, 3 sons and 1 daughter, who are all on their own now, leaving me with an empty nest. The nest is not exactly empty as I have 2 dogs, a basset hound who runs the house and a yellow lab puppy who is the best tempered and worst behaved dog on the planet. I have 3 grandchildren in St. Louis and I try to get down there as often as possible. I was born in Omaha and have never left so am fortunate to have grade school, high school, and college friends. Then I can add in friends from church and the parents of my children who remain my friends-and there are always work friends, so I am truly blessed.
