Mary is such a beautiful example of true faith. She put her trust in what God was calling her to do even though it would place her in the very scary situation of being pregnant without first being married. She pushed away any fears of rejection from Joseph or the rest of her community when she said yes to God’s call because she knew that God loved her and would not lead her astray. Following God’s will gave Mary great happiness, joy, and no regret. Sometimes following our faith requires us to do difficult things and, we second-guess whether God is really leading us on the right track. These times really force us to place our trust in God. We can look to our mother, Mary, for encouragement in these times since she is such an incredible example of placing full trust in God. When we accept what God is calling us to do, we won’t regret it; instead, we will rejoice like Mary and realize that “the Almighty has done great things” for us. |
