I have an acquaintance that is struggling with faith and God. Having been a Christian my whole life, it is hard for me to see how people could not accept Jesus because he is the reason that we live. To me it is so simple, but to others who did not grow up the way I did it is a huge struggle. This person deals with addictions and sin in his life daily, and I can see Satan taking hold of him. Yesterday I told him that God is fighting for him every single day and he did not know what to say to that. I hope some day he can see Jesus as his teacher and his master and all the other things that Jesus is to us as Christians. We are called to be servants of Christ and humble ourselves before him. When we know someone who struggles with his/her faith, let us not be quick to give up on them. It's important that we try to help people see Jesus in his true light because he is the one who saves. |
