Hello, readers!  I hope you are all enjoying the holiday season as much as I am!  I just wanted to take a minute to reflect on today’s Gospel. 

I think that it is important for us to realize that there are people all around us that we don’t fully value, just as people of the time did not fully realize and value who Elijah and Jesus were.  These prophecies had already been fulfilled; people needed only to look around.  I think this is an important message for us, especially in this very busy time of year. 

We need take a moment to just be aware of our surroundings, and fully appreciate everything we have been given.
