More about me:

I am from Le Mars, Iowa and graduated in 2005 from Gehlen Catholic High School. I had the privilege to study abroad my sophomore year in the Dominican Republic through Creighton’s Encuentro Dominicano program and also traveled to El Salvador with 17 other Creighton students for a three week theology course. I am currently involved in other Creighton student activities such as the Gay-Straight Alliance, the Ignatian Family Teach-In/School of the Americas Protest, & am the president of El Legado de Compasión. I traveled to the American/Mexican border on a Fall Break Service Trip through the Creighton Center for Service and Justice and I am also currently interning at a non-profit immigration law office here in Omaha

Writing these reflections:

Growing up in a Catholic family, my faith has always been of great value to me. As I’ve begun to grow more independently, I have found Christ most powerful to me through Liberation Theology. I am therefore very excited to have the opportunity to share my reflections as I further piece together how I myself may follow Christ in serving the poor.
