Teresa Bolas

Junior, Social Work Major
More about me:

I am from Omaha, NE and I have really enjoyed being a student at Creighton University thus far. I chose Creighton because it is a great university which places strong emphasis on academics and social justice, while allowing me to stay in the same city as my younger brother and sister. My best college memories are from spending last semester in the Dominican Republic. Studying abroad strengthened me to choose social work as my major and enlightened me to view the world in a new way.

Writing these reflections:

I am happy to participate in writing these reflections because it is my way of incorporating my faith with my passions, especially in regards to social justice and the quest for social changes. I absolutely love Catholic Social Teachings and I think that is evident in my writing. I feel privileged to be able to share my thoughts with those who are interested in Christianity and its teachings. I also think these reflections are a great way for us to learn from each other. There are so many people with diverse thoughts and insights; this is a great way to combine all these thoughts and create unity while understanding differences.
