Ann Mausbach

Assistant Professor, Educational Leadership

More about me:

I am starting my third year at Creighton University. Prior to Creighton I worked in public K-12 schools for over 20 years. The majority of my career  was devoted to leading teaching and learning.  Through this opportunity I learned many things about myself and leadership. One thing I know for sure is that the work in schools whether K-12 or at the university level is about people not programs. I feel extremely blessed to have a career where my driver is helping others ( students, teachers, principals) use and expand  all of their God given gifts.

My husband Tim and I have two boys who are in high school. They are eighteen months apart (almost Irish twins) so it feels like they are moving through our lives at lightening speed. When not busy watching both of them play Lacrosse I can be found reading, walking and enjoying our extended families.

Writing these reflections:

For years I wrote a weekly “thought for the week” to building principals. I enjoyed doing that as it helped me to reflect and focus on the work we had ahead of us. I am excited (and  nervous) to write and reflect on scripture.  I know it will help me wrestle with all of the mysteries of our great faith.
