Jan Schnack

I have been at Creighton University for 12 years in the College of Nursing.  I manage the Office for the Center for Research and Evaluation.  Creighton is part of my family.

More about me:

I lived most of my life in Gretna, Nebraska and moved to Crescent, Iowa when my husband and I decided to farm in Iowa.  We have been married for 25 years and have three grown children, two of which are students at Creighton.

In addition to being an employee, I am also a student here at Creighton.  I earned a bachelor’s degree in Health Administration and Policy in December of 2009 and a master’s degree in health care ethics in May of 2012.  I am currently enrolled in the master’s degree in theology program and am participating in the Clinical Pastoral Education program through Alegent Creighton Health.

I like to play Words with Friends and am trying to teach myself the piano and knitting.  I can play the clarinet, so I know how to read music which has been helpful in learning the piano.

Writing these reflections:

I am deeply humbled to have been asked to share with you my reflections on the daily readings.
