Retired

More about me:

It is a joy to have the opportunity to contribute to the daily reflections offered through the Creighton Online Ministries website.

I am retired from Creighton University where I served for sixteen years in the division of mission and ministry.  Before Creighton, I worked in the Archdiocese of Omaha for three parishes as the Director of Religious Education and Pastoral Minister.

I continue to be very involved as a co-founder and leader of a Guatemala Mission organization called:  Ixim:  Spirit of Solidarity.  We have prepared and led over 200 people to Guatemala for mission encounters with the Guatemalan people—most especially the Mayan people.  They have taught us so much!

My family is the heart of my life.  My husband John is retired from educational administration.  He led Creighton Prep High School as Principal and President before his retirement.  We have three sons, three daughters in law and seven grandchildren.

I was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska.  I have seven siblings.  I am lucky indeed!

Writing these reflections:

I have had the privilege of facilitating many retreats and faith sharing groups throughout my years in parish ministry. Walking with people on their spiritual journey is truly one of the greatest professional gifts I have experienced. So having the opportunity to reflect on scripture and write daily reflections is exciting to me. I am looking forward to being a contributor to this outstanding Creighton website.
