1. November, 1999

  • This two-hour introductory session included a history of Heartland gatherings by UDM President Maureen A. Fay, O.P.
  • Introductions for the 45 members of the UDM delegation.
  • Distribution of UDM/Heartland III materials


2. February 9, 2000

  • Discussion of three articles
    • “A Brief History: Jesuit Declarations on Justice" by Arthur F. McGovern, S.J.
  • Questions for Discussion

  • 1.  What in the articles was new to you?  What was most interesting, inspiring and surprising?
2.  Do these ideas on Jesuit education fit or not fit with what you see and do at UDM?
3.  From your experience, how is UDM living out the theme of these articles?
