More about me:
I arrived on the beautiful campus of Creighton University in the spring of 2013 to interview for the position of AVP Facilities & Project Planning. I knew from that first visit that I had arrived at a very special place. After additional interviews I accepted an offer to lead the talented and dedicated campus facilities and project support group. I have had the good fortune of working in higher education the majority of my career and enjoy the interaction with people that are attracted to a mission of education, research, and outreach. My wife, Michelle, and I have been married for 40 years and raised two children. We were both born and raised in Crookston, MN, as were our two sons. After moving to Minneapolis (Champlin, MN) in 1994 I assumed numerous facilities management and related support roles throughout the Metro area. Coming to Omaha, NE was my first foray outside the comfortable confines of Minnesota and it has been a blessing. As most people my age know, life isn’t always easy. I was told some years ago, “you pay sooner or pay later, but everyone pays”. How true I know that is, but thankfully, the people here at Creighton have helped my wife and me through those very difficult periods. |

Writing these reflections: As my father before me, I’m a story teller and I tend to manage and lead through the process of telling stories that I think make correlations to daily activities. Some of my Reflection offering will be interspersed with lessons I’ve learned during my life journey or incredible wisdom gained from my parents. My faith, which is still growing, is a product of the joy of nature, a walk through campus witnessing the energy of all the bright and talented students who “will save our world”, or when I look into the eyes of a true miracle, our new born granddaughter. |
