More about me:
In January 2009 I joined the faculty of The Werner Institute as the Clinical Program Chair here at Creighton where I teach facilitation and mediation theory and practice to our campus based and on line students. Through the Werner Institute I also have the opportunity to serve our community by offering workshops, public facilitations and process design projects. For the ten years before coming to Creighton I was the founding executive director of Concord Center a non-profit mediation and facilitation center serving the Omaha area. The Midwest has always been home for me. I grew up in a small town in South Dakota which I know is redundant. I came to Creighton for undergraduate studies the same year as the spire on St. Johns. After living in St. Louis and Minneapolis I moved back to Omaha about 20 years ago. Becoming an active member of St Johns parish was one of the first things I did when I got to town and my life has been so much richer for it; I’m grateful for the friends and the faith developed at St Johns. I’m also blessed with loving family and loyal friends and the occasional rough patch to keep it real. Membership in two book clubs and long walks on the Field Club trail add to enjoyment in life. |

Writing these reflections:
Being in community is where my faith grows and where I am encouraged to love and serve our Lord. I’ve had the wonderful fortune to be part of a small faith sharing group for over 17 years. We’ve laughed and cried and challenged and celebrated together. The online ministry is a rich, far flung faith sharing community of which I am honored to be a member. |
