Mk 4:21-25

Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins.  He made the ultimate sacrifice so that we may become closer to God and have a greater opportunity to live eternally with him.  Our belief in this idea is one of the cornerstones of our faith and what drives us as believers.  This idea alone is not enough to get us into the eternal life, however.  We must actively live out our faith in our everyday life.  We must not shy away from the assembly of the believers, and we must always be looking for ways to spread God’s word and love.  Jesus saved us from our sins, but that alone is not enough.  God has given us a responsibility and we must live it out.

This responsibility God has given us is connected with free will.  We can choose to accept this and move on with our faith and works, or we can simple ignore it.  God does not force it on us, but he does encourage it.  By making the choice to accept this responsibility we allow ourselves to become closer to God and eternal life.  Let us all be encouraged to accept this responsibility and continue to spread the Word of the Lord.

God Bless.
