Daily Reflection

From a Creighton Student's Perspective

We have been blessed with many gifts in our time on earth.  Everything belongs to us, and it is our responsibility to love and tend to it.  But we often forget that what we have been given is a gift.  We sometimes take it for granted and abuse it.  We must remember that even though everything belongs to us, we belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.  We are foolish to think that we are wiser than God and that these possessions are ours to do what we wish with.  We must instead treat them as a gift from our loving God.

In order to show this care, we must follow in the footsteps of Christ.  Like Simon Peter, James, and John, we need to drop all other distractions and focus on the path that Christ is trying to direct us on.  We have the free will to deviate from this path, but no other path will bring us more success and happiness than this one.  All it takes is faith in Christ that he knows the best plans for us and wants us to succeed.  If we show that faith, then there is no way for us to fail.

God Bless.
