Society can often be a very well-displayed illusion; when you look around in the media, among your friends, and even the closest family members, we often see the power of mass influence incorporated in all aspects of our lives. What we should wear, what we should eat, how we should act, and especially in light of recent times, what we should believe. We often get the “axe” when we hold beliefs that are contrary to modern culture, and I’ll be honest with you, it can get very disheartening very quickly. But today, Jesus promises us to “be holy because I am holy.” Persecutions and harsh words are part of the game; but take heart in the fact that God holds us all accountable for our actions at the end of time, and that He loves us all, no matter what we have done. Do not be discouraged, for God is on your side!
