More about me:
I am from a little mountain town just outside of Denver in Conifer, Colorado, where I was both born and raised. I have two older sisters who are both graduates of the University of Colorado at Boulder and a younger brother who is just starting his sophomore year in high school. The first of my family to move out of the state, I came to Creighton with a passion for theology and religious education studies with the desire to go into missions and eventually to become a youth minister and high school theology teacher. I am involved on campus as one of this year’s Campus Ministry Interns, working to coordinate the Confirmation Preparation process, next semester’s Hand-In-Hand program, and other ministry opportunities. I am also the Vice-President of Creighton’s new Catholic student’s group, the Saint Peter Canisius Society, I tutor local area high school students through the Upward Bound Tutoring program, I referee basketball, volleyball, and softball games for Intramural Sports, and I also enjoy playing tennis, writing, drawing and sculpting, and playing piano and guitar in my free time. |

Writing these reflections: I feel that in an age where there is so much opportunity to communicate across the world with such advances in technology, there is no reason why one should not take advantage of the blessing to share faith and reflection as key component of this vital global connection. I have always been passionate about writing, and I have come to realize more and more the power of language in promoting the progress of faith among all peoples. As scripture is a very foundation and source of God’s voice and inspiration to us, I feel both honored and blessed to be able to share my own reflections on His message, hoping to be open to the call of the Holy Spirit and a worthy vessel for God's word. |
