I grew up on a farm near Dodge, NE, a small town about an hour from Omaha, and I am the middle of five children. I have a strong interest in international development, stemming from my study abroad semester in the Dominican Republic. I love being involved as a volunteer with various service projects and nonprofit organizations. Lately, I have been involved with the Spring Break Service Trip Program, the Nebraska AIDS Projects, and ESL teaching.

I enjoy writing reflections on the Mass readings because my faith is very important to me and I am constantly trying to figure out how I should be applying that faith to my life. I also think it is valuable to share and hear others' reflections on how God's words speak to them.
