More about me: I am from Papillion, NE. I have 1 younger
sister who graduated from Creighton in 2007. I live in an intentional
community with other CU grad students and alum. I love volunteering
as an interpreter at OneWorld Community Health clinic as a way to
keep up my Spanish that I learned through Creighton in the Dominican
Republic and El Salvador as well as with the Omaha Archdiocese in
Guatemala. I am doing my practicum with Alternatives to Violence at
Omaha Correctional Center. I am a ministry intern in the Creighton
Center for Service and Justice. I try to bike to school as often as
I can. | |
Writing these reflections: The CCSJ website says reflection is “Placing our experiences in dialogue with where we make meaning, such as our faith traditions and family backgrounds” In going through my daily life, I miss so much of how God speaks to us through each other and through our world. Taking the time to reflect on scripture and with others is something that I find nourishing. In continuing my discernment, I hope to continue the call to pray with the Bible in one hand and the newspaper in the other. I have a lot to learn about sacred texts and the modern world. | |
