It’s like Rafeeki said, “He lives in you.” The one line that struck me in the reading was “he will dwell among you.” How is that even possible? Especially in times of trial and troubles, how can someone so holy “dwell” in you? It seems as if people look for great signs like a storm or a lightning bolt or a loud voice yelling from the mountaintop. These expectations are time-consuming and by the end of our wait, we’re only disappointed. We are disappointed in our lack of a sign – whether it is a sign from God or fate or destiny – we don’t see it in front of us. That’s what I don’t understand. People don’t see what is right in front of them. The signs from God are so blatantly laid out in front of our faces, but in all of our high expectations we miss it. He dwells in us. He lives in us. There is no sign because He’s always been there, waiting for us to recognize it. He is waiting for us to sing and rejoice in His name. But first we must see it and we must see Him.

It’s odd that people choose to believe the things they cannot see, like love, hope, and faith. But then again, they do not see the things in front of them. God dwells in us. He dwells in each and every person that you meet; He is in every person in front of us. We must remember that what is seemingly unseen is, in fact, right in front of our eyes.
