I am blessed to belong to one of the best professions on the planet—I am a registered nurse! I worked at Creighton from 2008-2022. I had a wonderful time managing the student health center. When the health center closed, I transitioned to the role of Associate Director Student Health and Student Insurance. I was charged with oversite of many compliance-related initiatives. The best part of my work was that I had the privilege to walk with students as they managed new or existing health issues during their time as a Creighton student. I cannot articulate the joy these relationships brought. Our students (and their families) are simply the BEST! I currently serve those with intellectual and developmental disability. I learn from my patients every day!

More about me:
I was born and raised in Omaha. I attended Holy Cross grade school, and Mercy High School. I went to nursing school at UNMC. I chose the BEST profession in the world. I love being a nurse! I completed my MSN at Creighton in May 2020, during a global pandemic—proof that you’re never too old to learn and a testament to my stubborn nature. I have a great husband who is an alum of CU and the CU School of Law. He has a general practice here in Omaha. We have three wonderful children who are truly putting their Jesuit educations into action! We are proud parents. I enjoy gatherings with family and friends. I like to cook. I am an avid sports fan. Creighton teams are my favorite! I am blessed with a great family and wonderful friends. |

Writing these reflections:
I know God is always with me and I’m always on the lookout for the signs he sends my way to reassure me of His love and presence. I look forward to the opportunity to participate in the ministry of Daily Reflections. Intentional reflection time has helped me keep God as my center as I really try to live the Gospel. This is a wonderful opportunity for me. I pray the Holy Spirit guides me in my reflecting. |
