[240] Jer 7:23-28
Ps 95:1-2, 6-7, 8-9
Luke 11:14-23

"Walk in all the ways that I command you, so that you may prosper.” Jeremiah 7:23-28

You are not alone.

There are many moments in life when we go through instances of ups and downs.  You are not alone going through tough times.  Today’s reading emphasize the gravity of the decision to turn one’s back on God.  It is important to listen to the world.  God comes to us in many shapes and forms.  He could be speaking through a close friend that is trying to help through a certain circumstance or he could be the voice of reason in our head all along.  Allow the light of the Lord into your life and understand that he is always there in the good times and more importantly in the bad times.

The road of life proposes multiple challenges.  Our faith is challenged, our views are altered, and our life changes one way or another.  Choose to remain faithful because at the disappearance of faith it is easy to get wrapped up in the wrong things.  Choose to remember that you are not alone.  God is with you as well as your family and friends.  “Thus says the LORD: This is what I commanded my people: Listen to my voice; then I will be your God and you shall be my people.”  There is never something that we can’t handle together.

In my own life, I have had to overcome multiple sports injuries involving 9 knee surgeries.  So far this has been my greatest challenge and I have had to learn that there is much more to life than sports.  Many great friends and family have helped me along the way and I know that God has been watching over my life and my successes.  Learn from your mistakes.  You are not alone in this life.

God Bless
