Hello readers!  I hope this season is treating you all well!  In today’s Gospel reading, I am astounded by the depth of the love that Jesus has for us.  Jesus tells us “As the Father loves me, so I also love you,” and this blows my mind.  Obviously, we hear quite often about Jesus’ love for us, but because of how often we hear about it, we can become desensitized to it.  If I really stop and think about it, it is so amazing.  He willingly came to die for us.  For each of us.  He came for you, and me, and all the people living in countries far away from us; people we don’t even know.  He came to save our mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers, sons and daughters. 

Jesus loves everyone just as much as God loves him.  When I stop and think about this, I am amazed by the intensity and power of this love.  I think if I remember this, I will be more peaceful about my sometimes turbulent life.  I don’t really have too much to fear; if I follow Jesus’ commandments, I will remain in his love.  I don’t think there is anywhere else that I would rather be.
