"... they could not withstand the wisdom and the spirit with which he spoke."

Acts 6:8-10; 7:54-59

Strength is something that Stephen showed in a very difficult time.  A challenge of great magnitude standing true to what he believes.  God gives us a choice as to what we do in our daily lives.  It is up to us to display strength as Stephen did, standing up for what he believes in.  In the reading there is an overwhelming amount of people upset at the faith Stephen is preaching and showing.  One voice can make a difference, and one voice can start a movement.  Stephen is not moved at the doubt in the crowd.  He looks up and God is with him.

Many times in our lives we are afraid to speak up because we feel as though our voice will not be heard.  Stay true to who you really are and shine.  In my own life I have been doubting myself recently and my worth.  My experiences tell me that I am worth so much more than I give myself credit.  In your own lives I’m sure there have been times when you don’t feel like yourself.  Don’t let life get you down.  Change a negative view and keep faith an integral part in your life.  Positivity can go a long way and build off of your confidence everyday.  We all have a voice.

There will be times when doubt creeps into our lives in one form or another.  Life brings us challenges to test our will and strength.  People and circumstances bring us down so that we may rise to even greater heights than before.  We must fight back doubt with remembrance that faith will carry us through.  God is with us even when we feel so far away and lost.  Trust that he will guide you to a better place with grace and power.  Hope may be lost but it can be found again if we take the time to look.

Merry Christmas to all!!

God bless us, everyone.

Jake
