Reflections on the Daily Readings from the Perspective of Creighton Students |
The desires of the body are not of the spirit. We must remember that every act in the flesh has an effect on the spirit. Ultimately our acts will determine our salvation. If we kept this eternal perspective in the forefront of our minds, it will radically shift the verbs that describe our lives. We will make our actions out of love for others and ultimately praise the glorious name of our Lord. It would be helpful at the end of each day to examine our actions. If we were to write down the verbs that describe our day, what would they be? If we are striving to live lives worthy of his kingdom, our actions will include praying, giving, loving, hoping, listening, and supporting. |
