Hello readers!!  I hope you are having a fantastic advent season, and are getting excited as Christmas approaches!  I think that the Gospel reading from Matthew for today is very aptly timed for me.  I feel that the topic of “Whoever has ears ought to hear” keeps coming up in my life recently.  I feel like life would be so much easier if we came with a road map from God- but unfortunately that is not how it works!  I feel that I am willing to do what God wants me to do, but sometimes it is hard to know what it is I’m supposed to be doing.

I don’t know about you, but I have recently been really struggling with some major decisions that I’m not sure about what I am supposed to do. This scripture gives me comfort however- if we try our very best to listen to God and be obedient, we will be rewarded in heaven, where even the least is greater than John the Baptist.  I have a hard time picturing this, but I am so excited to find out one day.  As for now, I guess all we can really do is pray and reflect on what God is calling us to do.
