“For in him our hearts rejoice; in his holy name we trust” – Psalm 33:21

Christmas is only a few short days away, and that means we will soon be celebrating Jesus’ humble arrival into our world in human form. How blessed are we to have a God who actually came into our world, so that we may truly know him! Thinking on this I can’t help but exude with happiness. The joy that God’s love for me brings inspires me to act and respond to God’s love.

During a season like Advent where we are focusing on preparing our hearts for Christ, it is the perfect opportunity for all of us to channel our love for God and all the ways God has blessed us into living the life he calls us to live. How do we know how to live out God’s calling for us? We trust in God by creating a more personal relationship with God. Mary exemplifies this perfectly in today’s Gospel. When she was called to be the Mother of God, she put all her faith in God and accepted her calling. Mary took her joy in being a child of God and let it guide her to trust him and follow his will for her. We can all take further steps to place more trust in God and live our lives according to his will as Advent comes to a close and throughout our lives. God bless!
