Reflecting on today’s readings, the sentence “For behold, the Kingdom of God is among you” is what caught my attention.  I wrestled with this some, wondering what Jesus means by this.  I don’t believe the Kingdom of God is a place or even necessarily a state of being after we depart this world.  And, it seems, Jesus is giving us at least a similar indication in saying that the Kingdom of God is among us.  As I continued to reflect I recalled definitions of the Kingdom of God I have heard recently such as the Kingdom of God is our relationship with Christ or union with God.  I thought about the idea that we, the body of Christ, are the continuation of the Incarnation. Jesus lives within us and desires us to follow him.  Is this what He means when he says “the Kingdom of God is among us.”?  I wonder.  Then I returned to today's reading from Wisdom and found myself truly attracted to the imagery presented there.  This feminine face or image of God spoke to my spirit.  Wisdom is holy, unique, subtle, beneficent, kindly, a pure effusion of the glory of the Almighty, fairer than the sun; just to highlight a few of the descriptives.  This is someone I desire to be in relationship with.  This is someone I desire to follow.  Is this the Christ that lives within me?  In my prayer, the answer “yes” came to me.  Wisdom, this face of God, lives within me and I am invited to be in relationship with her.  I am invited to let her face shine and be a pure effusion of the glory of the Almighty.

As we continue through our day today, let us reflect on how we tap into the Wisdom qualities of the Christ that lies within. How do we let the glory of God emanate from us?
