| The
final stage of any journey is often vulnerable to the worst temptations
to turn back. During the final three weeks of Lent, in the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, we pray with special care for those preparing for Baptism at the Easter Vigil. Using the gospels for those Sundays, which are our readings for this week in our retreat, the Christian Community prays for those preparing for Baptism, that they be protected and freed from evil and given the gifts they long for. We have adapted these special prayers to the first person so we could make them our own prayer. |
